- Beyond Black and White" is the new generation of book club in which we go beyond the literary and literal. We will explore all medias and mediums of art including cinema, prose and poetry, music, visual and performing arts and how they are interconnected. We will also explore the intersecting themes of social and environmental justice expressed in these medias. Our aim is to create community within the LGBT community as well as alliances with the larger community. We support all groups and individuals working for social and environmental equality. We try to connect all groups and individuals without replication of already existing efforts. We welcome people of all races, genders, orientations, and backgrounds to be a part of this group. While the center is LGBTA, it is, however, not our focus. Instead, LGBTA experience will be a recurring theme incorporated with many diverse experiences of individuals and groups and how they relate to art.
